Dear Astro Numerology fans, friends and spiritual companions:

This is a year of endings, completion. A getting ready for big change, inner and outer, world-wide. A # 9 cycle. Two and seven add up to be a nine, the finale, a growth cycle coming to fruition. Tested and pruned by Saturn's # 8 cycle of 2006, we are now ready to complete something, to move on, to release that which have outgrown. We will finally move on personally and collectively. Make changes long overdue within our careers, homes, educational longings, social reform and most of all matters of the heart and soul. It is a very demanding year as it is ruled by Mars, the warrior. Combative, impulsive, hot, dynamic, fiery and acting like a general, we will proceed with a certain authority and engage in decisions where there is no way back.

The Moon, # 2, is still with us, and dominating the energy of our actions and interactions, persevering in inviting more emotional honesty. The Moon is by nature restless, and always in search of love - emotional connection, deeper meaning and higher truth. The Moon is the mothering energy, family, wanting home and happiness for all. It represents nourishment, the waters of the world, the waters of the body, the waters of the spiritual heart, desiring nurturing, emotional safety and a feminine perspective on our future.

The # 7, Ketu, is also connected to a search. For eternal happiness, for manifesting the highest ideals, and propelled by the "past life" energies, the tail end of the malefic nodes, Rahu & Ketu, it wants to let go of the "karmic burdens of the past," and commit to change. It is planet of release into the unbounded cosmic energies and not easily understood. It wants to help facilitate the new world view, the new person, so it will encourage a great letting go, overcoming all resistance and built up emotional baggage that prevents us from becoming purified, simplified and ready to undergo profound transformation. Ketu is idealistic and seeks liberation. And in this process there can be a lot of rejection and also a viewpoint that acts out with such illusionary force that we may act hastily, impatiently and purely emotionally.

Together, as a compound number with the two zeros in between - representing profound spiritual evolutionary potential for humanity - they act as Mars, which in its highest octave is the humanitarian and filled with compassion.  We will have to rise beyond denial and hope and come into personal and collective leadership and responsibility to maximize the current available to us for this year. Both, denial and hope show us where our attachments are and linger. The most important of all virtues is courage, because, without courage we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. Mars is courageous, it is a force that will take us to task and require a full engagement or we will find ourselves in an inner war zone which of course will only perpetuate the wars in the world. So the questions within us arising will be around:

DO I LIVE FULLY?
DO I LOVE WELL?

No thinking about it, but being it. Mars requests embodiment.  Showing up for the battle with our individual and collective demons. It will become so apparent to each conscious being that the ongoing journey is about change, transformation. To understand the binding of the ego and its defences. Mars essentially, in its highest vibration, will teach us that one has to have died to be reborn. So there will be a lot of dying going on. Not necessarily in the physical plane but in the egoic dimension. The tensions we have all experienced is from being "off centre", not aligned with the natural ways which, as Saturn might have shown us in 2006, has confused, and paralyzed us. Wherever we have not loved enough we will feel dead and unfulfilled. As Joseph Campbell pointed out: "Love is the pain to be truly alive". And Mars acts a bit like that, along the lines of no pain no gain. Get real, be present. Surrender the illusions, the insistence on certainty. Love fully and deeply; love for the moment and know that in real love there are no certainties. This is the passion, the fire of Mars.

The other side of the coin is  violence. And through this love we can realize that non violence is a matter of the heart. Mars, in its finality of the #9 manifestation, will show us that without profound love and devotion, karma cannot become a means of liberation.
So Mars, although considered a planet of war and malefic, also has the most power in humanistic love ( unlike romantic love which is ruled by Venus ). Mars has the rich desire to love fully and completely, to fulfil itself. Love alone has the power to change, having a revolution of the heart, practicing AHIMSA ( non violence ) with the intent to unite all of humanity.  The main challenge of Mars, being impatient and impulsive is that we can enter a state of hyper kinetic frenzy, which in the vedic tradition invites us to hang on to the feet of Lord SHIVA and Shri DURGA, to support our transformation without succumbing to our habitual demons.  Speed kills! So in this new year forget about being a fast talker or a sweet talker, become a truth talker and walk your talk, come clean, clean up. Embrace the impermanence and let go, release so you may rebuild in 2008. A useful mantra will be: attention, acceptance, appreciation, affection and allowing. There has to be willingness to end, to allow completion, to move on, to be curious, open and ready for shifts and change, in all forms and on all levels. To open with joy ( a fiery heart quality ) in everything that comes and let all be with ease as it undergoes metamorphosis. Willingness to accept whatever the future holds, without clinging and resisting and without grasping our favorite habitual perceptions, people and places. To be ready for 'leave-taking".

Every individual has to be ready  and capable of self renewal in this Mars cycle. The key to success in this 2007 year will largely depend on our ability to be real with ourselves and ready for genuine change, to regard learning as a continuing part of life, to trust, to move forward with confidence and gusto. Mars is a mover and a shaker.

This will be year of physical experiences. Not just mental speculations. Time teaches its lessons to even the most reluctant student. And 2007 will feel like "the time has come".

With presence, readiness, courage and curiosity 2007 will bring us an élan vital like no other year or planet. Mars invites to be ready for new experience, win this war, celebrate the victory of what has been accomplished to date and get going in the direction of  a more passionate life and reality.  2007 frequencies will urge us to not give in, to not give up and to let our genuine passions dictate our actions, to be radical and  live our life anew. To take more risks, to celebrate more sunsets, to climb more mountains, to become strong and visible voices of the eternal landscape of the divine. To protect what is entrusted in our care. To share. To be human, to be humane!

May 2007 be a year of the most synergistic dance of your life and reality on this planet. May we each become a warrior of truth and fight for the highest purest causes of love and light.

Year cycle #1, ruled by the SUN:

One feels more healthy, robust and progressive about all ones involvement's. Year cycle #2 ruled by the MOON

This year will bring success with difficulties.  There will be strength, undisturbed by unforeseen troubles and obstacles.  There is alertness, hard work, and calm.  There are also financial gains, increased sources of income, and financial stability.  You will experience new ventures, such as a new house or apartment.  This year will also be auspicious, for one may get married, but if one does not want to marry officially, one gets a life partner.  Married people with no children get a child. This year is good for relationships with friends and life partners.  It is not successful for love affairs and romance.  It will be good for relations with government officials and men of authority.  This year will be good for traveling, spiritual pursuits and religious activities.

Year cycle #5 ruled by MERCURY

This year will be a year of success and financial stability.  It brings an increase in one's circle of friends.  It is also good for business and businessmen.  It will be good for traveling and for going abroad on business or for enjoyment.  It will be good for partnership in business.  It is a time to be conscious while talking, and also to be conscious while signing a deal or a contract.  It is good for those employed in the media and communications business:  writers, poets, actors, entertainers, radio artists, and journalists.  It will be good for appearing in competitions and taking risks.  It will be a memorable year.

Year cycle #6 ruled by VENUS
